I guess it wasn't the best time of day for my kids to be cooperative...just before sunset. (hopefully is was just an off day, since that is my favourite time to take photos.) We watched the sun go behind the mountains, then jumped in the car & put the kids to bed as soon as we got home. Then relaxed!

My own
I used to think that taking photos of my own kids was easy peasy. Not anymore! I took them both out one evening this week, wanting to get some gorgeous shots of them together. When one was cranky and complaining, the other would look beautifully at the camera... and vice versa. I came away expecting NO good photos at all. I was pleasantly surprised when I found just ONE photo of them both together - smiling! (thanks to my hubby singing & shaking the car keys behind me ;))

Photographing your own is ALWAYS the hardest. They are beautiful and so are the pictures!
Great shot with the kids together! I know all too well how hard it is to get two of them together and smile at the same time! Sunset is beautiful!
Lovely photographs of beautiful children I know how difficult your own kids can be :-)
I love the tongue! And the little fingers wrapped around dad's fingers.
I remember Noah at Del's age (and it wasn't that long ago!)
Beautiful photos!
Thank you all for the lovely comments :)
Johanna - her tongue & wild hair...she is crazy! I love the way they are holding hands too!
I never thought about the difficulty involved in taking pics of two kids, but it makes sense! I guess I should appreciate right now while it is easier...but even then she doesn't cooperate with me anymore when I'm trying to take her picture. Anyway, at least the one you did get turned out so well! It's a lovely shot of the two of them. My first thought too was how cute Adele looks with her little tongue sticking out. :)
Beautiful images! And I TOTALLY AGREE, it cann be so hard to get those shots of your own kids, well done!
ohhhh Love the last shot:)
All of them are cute!!

I LOVE the first and third shots... especially the reflections in their eyes. Beautifully done :)
I've had days like that too, where I think I didn't get any good shots, but am pleasantly surprised when I load them up in Lightroom.
Gorgeous! and what a lovely sunset too!!
Beautiful!
